Airport authority wanted local and diverse businesses but operators lacked capital, airport experience, and operational systems to compete.
Led launch of highest performing Launchpad accelerator cohort, providing turnkey locations with built-in infrastructure. Managed permitting, build-out, vendor selection, and operational training for 5 microbusinesses.
Launched the highest performing Launchpad cohort in program history, creating sustainable revenue streams and meeting ACDBE goals while maintaining profitability. Two of the five units became the top grossing operators in program history and won additional locations.
A program still recovering from COVID. Shuttered units with no term to offer because of a month to month term. A staff in limbo with frequent leadership changes and the prospect of losing their jobs to a new developer.
Replaced chaos with structure. Got out of our best performers' way so they could do their best work. Hired new team members that brought hustle and innovation. Promoted leaders. Saved four stores from closing by facilitating acquisitions by new operators. Convinced existing operators to invest in new concepts without the promise of term.
